DATA SCIENTIST/SOFTWARE APPLICATION DEVELOPER

This is a small optimization team with a learning mindset and ability to switch between various types of tasks, coding, supporting customers, building new development infrastructure etc. They work with heavy use of pair programming and mobbing and value working as a team in a constructive and respectful way.

After extensive planning, the day of operation is crucial for airlines. The Ops Control system helps operations center managers anticipate and address issues in advance, enabling faster decision-making and adaptation to operational challenges.

This team works with the Aircraft Recovery Solver that simplifies the resolution of complex schedule and resource problems.
As a team they develop their software in C++ and mostly use heuristics to solve very time-constrained optimization problems. Test scripts and integration scripts are commonly written in Python. They also work with web technologies like HTTP, JSON and Java in order to integrate the solver with the rest of the system.

In order to be successful in this role we believe that you are curious about new technologies and a fast learner. You also need to be interested in doing a lot of mob programming and pair programming, while sometimes also getting solo challenges as well.
