Project Engineer for IT/OT systems in HVDC upgrades
We are looking for an IT/OT Network Engineer to join our customer in Ludvika. You will be part of a team of talented engineers tasked with deploying and securing the next generation of control systems within HVDC. Our customer will offer you an exciting and stimulating work environment where you become an important team player in collaboration with technology and marketing departments as with customers.
Your responsibilities
In this role you will work with system-, network-, and cybersecurity implementations in HVDC upgrade projects. You will build complete infrastructure of networks and systems to support HVDC operations worldwide.
- You will be responsible for integrating and implementing IT/OT systems and infrastructure for control systems in large HVDC project deliveries.
- You design the technical solutions based on industry best practices ensuring a high quality and reusability is achieved.
- You will be an important pillar of global projects throughout all phases of extensive projects.
- Provide training and share your knowledge within the organization.

Your background
- You have a vocational (YH) education or a university degree with a relevant technical focus, such as Computer Science, IT/Networking, or IT Security.
- General understanding of security fundamentals and are familiar with global standards as NIST 800, IEC 64443, NERC CIP and ISO 27001.
Meritorious
- Experience in IT and OT infrastructure, system administration, development, and maintenance. Previous experience from critical infrastructure is a major plus.
- Worked with hyperconverged infrastructure and is well familiar with VMware, vCenter and vxRail and similar systems.
- You have previous experience in network equipment (firewalls, switches, GPS clocks) and redundant network designs and protocols.
- Have worked with Active Directory and the different roles, integration with third-party devices and appliances.
- Experience with databases and high-availability solutions.
- If you have knowledge of intrusion detection systems, security information event monitoring, application control and other security-relevant systems is a major plus.
